About the Project

This pharmaceutical company’s building was designed to bring the workforce together under one roof while reducing operational costs and carbon emissions. As part of its ongoing sustainability strategy, Ablaze GES designed and installed a rooftop solar PV system covering 485 m², enhancing the building’s existing BREEAM ‘Excellent’ environmental rating.

The installation complements the building’s energy management system (BEMS), supporting operational efficiency and a zero-carbon approach. The south-facing PV array maximises solar yield and fully meets the building’s electricity demand. The building itself is designed to be carbon-neutral and ozone-free, featuring timber- framed curtain walling, borehole groundwater cooling, and an ammonia refrigeration
plant.
