The Cube, Downmill Road, Bracknell, RG Sector: Industrial, New Build Construction Commissioning Date: May 2017

The Cube is a new industrial development in Bracknell. The site was developed by The Cube (Bracknell) Management Co in partnership with The Harris Partnership Architects. The building is 4,800 m2 with an apex trapezoidal roof lining.

The Requirement:

The PV was stipulated by the M&E consultants to generate an output of 19,500 kWh to comply with Part L 2013.

The Solution:

With our strong history of commercial design and build solar PV solutions in Surrey, Hampshire, and Sussex, Ablaze was appointed to deliver the solar PV system and meet the Part L renewable energy target.
The solar PV solution designed by Ablaze Green Energy Solutions consists of 95 16% efficient Sapphire panels mounted on a proprietary fixing system for trapezoidal roofs. The installation provides 19,600-kilowatt hours of renewable power to the building per year. The cost savings on utilities are in excess of £2,350 per year.
